I reformatted my laptop and wiped out all my back up files in the drive D because of problems with the labeling when asked which partition I wanted to clear out. The drive D which had all the drivers and service packs that I downloaded off from the HP website in order for my laptop to work. I was so pissed and shocked when I found this out but I’m happy that I was able to save another copy in my USB flash drive. I got to install the Ethernet controller for me to be able to surf the internet to look for other drivers.
So far, I’m able to properly set things up already as there were no errors that popped up. No use to contact the hp service center representatives in SM because I never want to go back there anymore.
I’m just glad to be able to do this by myself despite having a bit of help from some IT pros. Never am I going to download updates again!!! To think that I have a licensed copy of the operating system. That’s sometimes the problem with retail customers who get compromised whenever they just want to have the latest fixes and security patches. They fall as easy guinea pigs that when something goes wrong, at least somebody’s reporting it at their expense.
