Heading towards the check-in gates at the airport in Bali, Indonesia, I noticed 3 kids walking together in laughter. They were holding hands, pulling each other close and then pushing each other away.
We were on our way back to Kuala Lumpur after a seven-day vacation in Bali, and witnessing these kids smiling was, for the lack of a better word, cute.

They could be brothers and sisters, cousins, or just playmates; talking and laughing together. They were smiling, probably amused by the atmosphere at the airport; or they were just caught up with their conversation that they didn’t care where they were.
What caught my attention was how carefree they seemed, oblivious of their surroundings in the busy transit.
an adult companion was just nearby
I tried to hurry up to take more photos; I even ran ahead and put my baggage down to get better angles, but they passed by so fast that I ended up with only a few snapshots; most of them were blurry.
I wondered if somebody was looking after these children as they seemed a little lost. It turned out an adult companion was watching from the side. He just let them be kids.

At times, they were jumping up and down. Probably they were excited to see their mother? I don’t really know, I could only speculate. Nevertheless, the thought of them running around was enough for me to see that life is fun.
