finally finished deception point. a bit embarrassing too. not only did i finish it in three weeks, i only borrowed deception point and promised to return it in one. in truth, i could’ve finish it in two days or three. just that i had so much to do and too little to act that i hardly gave much attention to it. so enough about me, nice read though. smart thrill. plot’s about government and politics. just what i need in today’s turmoil. still, haven’t been suspensed in a long time. and i didn’t expect it would come in a reading material. i better give the summary and reviews to the experts.

When a new NASA satellite spots evidence of an astonishingly rare object buried deep in the Arctic ice, the floundering space agency proclaims a much-needed victory… a victory that has profound implications for U.S. space policy and the impending presidential election.

With the Oval Office in the balance, the President dispatches White House Intelligence analyst Rachel Sexton to the Milne Ice Shelf to verify the authenticity of the find. Accompanied by a team of experts, including the charismatic academic Michael Tolland, Rachel uncovers the unthinkable—evidence of scientific trickery—a bold deception that threatens to plunge the world into controversy.

But before Rachel can contact the President, she and Michael are attacked by a deadly task force…a private team of assassins controlled by a mysterious powerbroker who will stop at nothing to hide the truth. Fleeing for their lives in an environment as desolate as it is lethal, they possess only one hope for survival: to find out who is behind this masterful ploy. The truth, they will learn, is the most shocking deception of all…

though it was kinda predicting in the end, i liked the action and thrill it brought. absurd but intellectual. fiction is fiction after all. still, haven’t read his other works, not even the Da Vinci so it’s hard to compare. should be more committed next time someone lends me a book.

it’s midterms week. have to get back on my knees. even if crawling’s the remaining option.

first time since months, slept for 14 hours. from 3pm to 5am. didn’t even bother to eat dinner. somehow, i still feel sleepy. maybe it’s the after-effect. i feel weak.

i’m loving these quake rolls, after cheese and skyflakes crackers, i can’t seem to get enough of them. not the real thing, but really a better substitute. just mentioning it makes me crave for some more.

there’re times when i don’t feel like blogging at all. or to be exact, completely stop. aren’t we getting a little too crowded? still, this should be for me and nobody else. maybe i’m just tired. when am i not?

Pagkagaling sa ‘skwela ay didiretso na sa inyo
At buong maghapon ay tinuturuan mo ako
Magkahawak ang ating kamay
At walang kamalay-malay
Na tinuturuan mo ang puso ko
Na umibig na tunay

ah, OPM’s back! i think this song’s one of the few that made filipino/tagalog lyrics sound so good. at least to my sense of hearing back then. catchy and narratively telenovela-ish. video’s cool too. never got to figure out who Paraluman was/is.

kisapmata, huwag mo na sana, harana, buloy, miss pakipot, hinahanap-hanap kita, etc. all reminiscent of elementary days, higshchool to some. poetic but effortless. go OPM!
