dreaming something weird and yet with sense

i had a weird but short dream, or maybe it was a sad one… anyway, i
dreamt that i was sitting together with some people (i didn’t
recognize) around a large waste basket glowing… they were
alternately going to the waste basket, trying to throw one of the
things i treasure the most… PICTURES!!! they were throwing and
burning their pictures of their friends, relatives, etc… while i was
clutching mine in my arms… when it was my turn… i didn’t budge and
just held and scanned my preserved memoirs of the joyful experiences i
had on the different stages of my life…

then suddenly (probably an elder), told me that it was the only way to
prove that i’m not lingering too much on the past…

what’s weird was some sort of philiosphical occurence was happening
during my sleep… it made me think and pause for a moment… and when
i woke up… i remembered what a priest (forgot the name) told us
during our recollection in third year high…

“forget the past… go on with the present… to have a good future…”

but still, i don’t wanna throw away my pictures…

what we have done in the past doesnt assure us of what we will do in the future.

CNBGirl made this comment,
maybe there is something in your past that you’ve been holding on to..
maybe it’s time to let it go.
