on Smartbro’s slow internet and the web

Been really restless lately. Smartbro had some internet connection problems the past few days and I thought it was only me. Right now the connection’s back up but before, every 5 minutes I could connect and then it couldn’t. Sigh. I just realized that I hate intermittent connectivity.

I read an article in Reader’s Digest once that one of the things that Asians get mad about easily is "slow internet connectivity". True enough, with this day and age where people get information fast, there’s really not much time for slacking off. Everybody has been multitasking that you can get data by just searching it up in Google. Or read a movie’s plot by looking it up in Wikipedia. You can just find blogs that talk about travel experiences so that you won’t have to be fooled or get ripped off by people who are taking advantage of you being a tourist. Everybody’s staying connected that it has become easy. Yes, these are just a few of the things you can do on the world wide web; and having a bad connection really sucks.

I just wonder when we’ll be able to have a connection that’s comparable to the packages offered in the US market. Fiber optics has been gaining popularity and it’s being transitioned from regular wiring.

Wouldn’t it be great to download a flick in just a few seconds? Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to make do with the 384 kbps subscription that I have. I just don’t like it when problems arrive. So far, Smartbro has only let me down twice after more than a year’s worth of subscription. Only issue is when I contact tech support, I have to find a Smart phone in order to dial the free hotline (*1888).

Will be trying torrent downloads next. I don’t really have that much files stored in my laptop as I use it mostly for blogging and pictures. The only games I have are those in the Accessories, minesweeper anyone?

I wonder if I were addicted to online games and such, I probably wouldn’t have much time to spend earning money through this blogging sideline. Heck, I wouldn’t even be able to buy a camera or a computer!
