Six Consecutive Trips in Six Weekends

For a month and a half, I spent my weekends out of town on different travel adventures with various people. The surprising thing was that these weren’t really planned at all.

I thought all my travels for the year were over and I was going to stay put in order to finish writing articles and other freelance tasks. I had unexpected trips but had a great time in the process.

Weekend 1: Boljoon, Osmeña Peak, Kawasan Falls, Moalboal

November 12-13, 2011

DoiEdwin and I went with travel blogger Dong Ho to Boljoon to visit the church and climbed Osmeña Peak, which is the highest peak in Cebu. Then we met up with another travel blogger, Jerome, in Kawasan Falls in Badian and chilled at Basdaku beach in Moalboal. We slept at a barangay hall, climbed down a mountain with hardly any light, took a dip in the waterfall, relaxed at a beach and visited our friends, George & Isa, at The Outpost.

Weekend 2: Dumaguete, Siquijor

November 18-21, 2011

Headed to Siquijor with Ron & Monette, Chichi, and Doi and spent a couple of days on motorbikes while touring the island. We visited a couple of falls, jumped off a cliff, tried to swing like Tarzan (but failed), made crazy videos, and had a quick side trip to Dumaguete for food! We met up with travel bloggers, RV and Mervz, as well as chatted with a kind soul along the way.

I've been to Different Places, But I've never been to Boracay

I have a friend who kept on going to Boracay as if it's just a regular destination. She said that since I'm a travel blogger, I should feature Boracay in my blog one of these days. I said I would if I could.

Boracay, as they always say, is the ultimate destination for adventure and relaxation.

Now I have a possibility to go on a free vacation in this island paradise through the South East Asian Airlines (SEAIR) and Microtel Inns Suites Boracay Bloggers' Tour. The chance to go along with other travel bloggers is also tempting because of having the opportunity to meet and bond with people who share the same interest for travel blogging.

Visit the SEAIR Facebook Fan Page for the details of this contest. Check out the SEAIR website and the Microtel Philippines website for more information.

I'm a hyperactive person who loves to travel and exudes energy all the time. For me, Boracay is the ultimate place to be. Below is my entry to SEAIR & Microtel Boracay Bloggers' Tour for a chance to go on a vacation to this paradise.

I’ve been to Different Places, But I’ve never been to Boracay

I've been dragged by a wakeboard cable wire in Naga, Camarines Sur.
But I've never been dragged to Boracay .

I've zip lined and climbed a wall in Balamban, Cebu.
But I haven’t zipped and wall-climbed in Boracay.

magpupungko rock in siargao

I miss Siargao. This was one of the first places I visited two years ago which started my love for traveling and blogging about the place I traveled. The pictures below were taken at Magpupungko Lagoon in Siargao. The main attraction aside from the crystal aqua blue waters is that they have this giant rock that’s sitting (pungko) on a smaller one. People are wondering why the rock hasn’t fallen over which adds to its mysterious effect.

My friend would then say that it’s obvious where the heavier side of the rock is sitting but according to another friend, let’s not overanalyze the setting and just be amazed at the beauty of nature.

I would like to post more pictures of Siargao and the different places we checked out there – we spent a week in this beautiful paradise and my Olympus camera was still new so you can expect that I took a lot of photos then.

Magpupungko lagoon is best visited when it’s low tide, the corals and waters have these pool effects which you can jump on and take a dip without having to go near the waves.

done with siargao

I'm done uploading the Siargao pics! After how many sequences of arriving home late from work, uploading the pictures and creating entries out of it, I'm finally done! I haven't taken a bath and it's 7pm on a Saturday which is also my day off. Sheesh. Can't I be any more pale? Since it's also summer and it's f*ckin' hot, I better go freshen up. Click on the links for some pictures of our trip.

siargao part 6: going home

We went back to Julie’s place at around 4pm where I still dipped to have my last in dive in the water. It was great knowing that after all this time; I was able to just be in my element. I believe I’m more of a water person more than anything else.
The second half of this album is in Surigao City. We went home on a Saturday but what the heck. Most of the shots were taken while riding on a motorcycle as we were touring the place.

----------------

I’m also thankful for having such generous hosts. We were treated like kings and queens since we never were hungry during our stay. We were well-fed with morning snacks, breakfast, lunch, merienda, dinner and even pasalubongs for our folks at home.

We prepared for our trip back, and we were also anticipating loads of office work; well maybe Dio and I only. It was a long day again as it took us almost a day again just to travel. But despite some circumstances, I’m really glad I was able to visit this place.

We were exposed under the rays of the sun. I forgot to put some sun block on for my head. Now I feel like I have dandruff all over when it’s supposed to be just burnt skin. Shit.

Note: Much thanks to Dio for bringing his laptop, although we couldn’t get some wi fi connection, we were still able to type and save some blog entries in advance just to documented what we did every day.
