Cebu Blog Camp 2010

It’s been more than a week since the Cebu Blog Camp 2010 and I haven’t been able to give an update on the event. Pressing issues at work had been taking my time. I’ve been extending more than the usual hours even just to keep up.

Anyway, the Cebu Blog Camp (a first!) was held at the CAP Art Center last May 22, 2010. Different speakers were invited which actually gave me a heads up on how blogging has evolved into something more than just typing away your thoughts. Last year, I wasn’t able to attend the Visayas leg of the Philippine Blog Awards which was a total bummer as I had no clue that such an event was happening.

I’ve been a blogger since 2003 – that’s 6 years plus of entries published and it’s only now that I got to join these activities and blog meet-ups. I would like to thank all the organizers for setting up this event. Special mention to EJ Mendoza of focalglass.com for conceptualizing the idea.

It was nice to see a lot of familiar faces in the blogging community. At least now I don’t have to look awkward meeting people because I already know some of them because of other Cebu Blogging events.

I hope to attend more events like this soon. Possibly the Philippine Blog Awards 2010? 🙂
