Pardon my ignorance but I thought Red Ribbon was only limited to cakes, pastries and some pastas. I know my older brother always ordered their Palabok platter whenever a special occasion arises. Little did I know that they also have rice meals available to whet the appetite of the Filipino eater.

Cakes and rolls display at Red Ribbon
October 24 at Cebu Cocomall, a few bloggers and I were invited to a product presentation of Red Ribbon’s new Crispy Chicken. It’s a fried chicken with a twist as these cutlets are cooked until they are extra crispy and instead of the usual ketchup or gravy, it is served with a sauce that has the right amount of tangy taste. We were informed that it’s actually mango barbecue sauce with mango bits.
Red Ribbon Crispy Chicken meal
Crispy Chicken is available with a slice of Red Ribbon cake and drink for only P148.00 or ala carte for just P90.00.
The chocolate fudge cake is best eaten when you microwave it for a couple of seconds which will turn the chocolate fudge gooey. Just thinking of it makes me want to head out and buy another slice. They also offered some their cafe mocha as their cakes are best eaten with coffee.
Red Ribbon’s Chocolate Fudge Cake is available in regular size for P495.00 and junior size for only P295.00.
Lastly, we were also given a sample of their famous Black Forest Cake. This is a proven and tested variety as the Black Forest is one of the first cakes that were introduced to the market when Red Ribbon opened its doors to the public last 1978 – that’s more than 30 years already!
Regular size is P590.00 and Junior size for only P370.00.
For a delicious slice or two of Black Forest Cake, visit Red Ribbon stores nationwide or call 8-7777 for free delivery within Metro Manila.
I thought this was all that but the Red Ribbon staff graciously gave us a box of their Chocolate Fudge Cake to take home to our families. This was such a surprise for us that we were all smiles when we got out of their food shop.
bloggers at Red Ribbon Cocomall
I was so full and my sweet tooth cravings were satisfied for the day that I took some time to enjoy conversations with fellow bloggers before we parted ways.
