Surfing at Blue Lagoon in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte

I love the water. Even as a kid, we would always go to the beach or pools during weekends. We’d normally take a swim, build sand castles, jump into the sea, and do just about any activity available. I’ve developed this fascination that even as a grownup, I’d be willing to try any physical exercise that involves water.

I prefer experimenting with watersports and it’s only a few that I’ve done so far – skimboarding in Argao, Cebu and kneeboarding in Camarines Sur. Both of which, I know I’m not good at but I’m happy to have at least tried them.

I remember the time when I rode my first (and only) wave in Siargao. One hour wasn’t enough but my body couldn’t take it anymore as I easily got tired. I also never had a picture of me standing on the board, until now.

We went back to Magpupungko just in time to check out its beauty. You can never really appreciate the place … Read more

siargao part 3: surf’s up

Day 3: Tuesday April 01, 2008 Had an appointment with Alex (trainer), first thing in the morning, I was going surfing! I wanted to try it out since I didn’t want to visit Siargao without even stepping on a surfboard. I mean, if the beach was just my sole purpose, then I’d rather go somewhere … Read more

siargao part 2: magpupungko and general luna

Day 2: Monday March 31, 2008 Monday morning – Magpupungko We went to Magpupungko, but it was still high tide so we just stayed by the shoreline taking pictures underneath the warm rays of the sun. Afterwards, we visited our host’s family friend where we ate breakfast (food again!). ———- Bonotan’s Lodge Pilaring, Pilar Shameless … Read more
