Lazy Breakfast at Madeleine Cafe & Boulangerie

We went to Madeleine Cafe & Boulangerie in The Dubai Mall one Saturday afternoon to try their All Day Lazy Breakfast offer which is a selection of their popular menu items. This restaurant is located at the Ground Level (Fashion Avenue) of The Dubai Mall and it offers an ambience of a Parisienne sidewalk café.

The lazy breakfast is available during Fridays and Saturdays when people are off from work and get up later than usual. This is great for those who want to eat their morning meals without feeling the rush of time.

Madeleine All-Day Breakfast in The Dubai Mall

From 12pm to 5pm, you can still have your “morning” meal while enjoying the company of friends and family. Newspapers and magazines are available so even if you’re just eating by yourself, you can still lounge in the area and take a more time to dine.

Ambiance – Huge Terrace and View of the Dubai Fountain

The restaurant is quite small from the inside, but it’s the terrace is what this cafe is known for. Madeleine boasts a spacious terrace which is perfect for viewing the Dubai Fountain and the Burj Khalifa. I noticed a  couple of tourists sitting outside while sipping a cup of tea and coffee while waiting for the fountain show.

We arrived around 1pm which was a good time since we were able to catch a fountain show scheduled at 1:30pm. This was my first time to witness it without distractions from other people since you get an exclusive space for yourself in this café.

According to the management, Madeleine Café and Boulangerie gets really busy in the evening because of patrons wanting to sit and dine outside to see the world’s largest choreographed fountain system.

It is highly recommended to drop by during Winter season when the weather is much better and at night to see the majestic fountain display and evening lights full view. We might drop by one of these days. Definitely we’ll choose the terrace next time.

Food Menu – Lazy Breakfast Weekends

You can order their regular menu items, but we tried their breakfast menu since it’s a combination of their famous a la carte choices already.

We asked for the best-sellers and the staff did not hesitate to share their suggestions and most-requested items. This is something I liked since this was our first time to eat there and we wanted tips before we chose. We ordered French Toast, Scrambled Egg Sandwich with Salmon, and Croque Madame.
