I was riding a jeepney one late afternoon as I still had to attend my last exam in ReEd 30 (Religion) when I received a text message from an unknown number.
“Mr. ****, this is the Chair of the Economics department. Your wallet was found and left at the Guidance Office at the College of Engineering. Please get in touch with them or with me.”
My heart leapt at that point. Somebody found my wallet that had my important cards!
I was resigned to the notion that I got pick-pocketed during one of my commutes to and fro school but I was surprised to hear this great news.
Somebody found my wallet and I’m really lucky that it was returned. I don’t think anybody would be able to make use of it since it didn’t have any money in it, my ATM cards ran out of balances, my credit cards were all blocked. But the two important things I wanted to keep were my government IDs which were very important cause it’s tiring to line up knowing what type of system the SSS or BIR has especially nowadays when you apply for a new identification.
I’m happy that people are still honest. Swerte ko! 🙂
