i observed two kids(probably 6 or 7 years old) quarreling over a piece
of bubblegum which their mom gave with different colors… the first
one asked for a blue and green… what’s left was yellow and orange
(i’m talkin about the wrappers okay?) anyways… the 2nd one also
wanted the blue one… “pareho ra ma nag lami!” (they have the same
taste)-the mother exclaimed… and his brother said: “bitaw!”
(yeah!)… the boy cried coz he still wanted the blue one… —end
scenario—
now why am i blogging this? i’m really getting old… it made me
remember the life i had before… when my brothers and i were young
and had little problems… who lived a care-free life (not the napkin
k?)… the first kid reminded me of me… and how spoiled i was…
always the one first in choosing…
i guess i’m a twenty-something (and looking like one! attested by my
friends which makes it worse!) trapped in a 17 year-old aging body….
—grunt— so many problems and responsibilities… now i’m not even
in school! long story… to make it short, i just can’t pick a school
just like everyone (or most) else… i haven’t paid my dues in my
previous school in dumaguete… i still have some back accounts… to
give you a clue, i only paid a thousand bucks for my fourth year in
st. paul (name of my school)… and i still managed to march in
graduation! my student life has been a rollercoaster ride that got
stuck while clinging in the middle of the track and upside down…
still patiently waiting… don’t ask how my parents are feeling…
(it’s even worse)…
i miss school, i miss my friends, i miss the simpler things in life…
am i making it complicated? i guess it’s already there waiting for you
to notice it as years go by… i read an article in the cebu daily
news (i forgot to give credit to the author)… anyways, it dealt with
a person trying to recall past memeirs of childhood… the “wonder
years” or so… playing and playing and eating and playing and
sleeping and playing… in the world of make-believe… and no one can
surpass a kid’s imagination (i think)… anyway, after the whole
narration…. she wondered when the magic had gone from her… it hit
me because we’re (if not all, most) like this… the magic often
vanishes when we grow older… —sigh—…
and so ends my entry for today… still bummed of not being able to
relive being a kid again… although even if i can… it still and is
not the same as before… (i guess i caught the ‘depression bug’ in
the blog world)…
tama na ed… mag-dedeliver ka pa… ๐

CNBGirl made this comment,
that scenario reminded me of how my brother and i were… everything
has to be divided equally, else, the other one would throw a tantrum.
hay, miss those wonder years. ๐

A visitor made this comment,
hehehe, bug nga siguro yung depression sa blog world. Anyway, your
entry touched me. It did and I know it was improper to start the
comment with laughter, but I don’t want you to feel much worse. for
all it’s worth, situations always have redemptions. We all just have
to wait for it and manage not to lose hope. Thanks ed for being a part
of adrenalineangel. It has been great knowing you. Take care!
