forgetful me

i wasn’t my usual self today. my eyes are tired, walang gana sa
trabaho, pero walang magawa kasi trabaho mo eh…

just read at what happened…

situation 1:
me: ma’am may i take your order?
customer: i’ll have one #1… hot and crispy chicken and regular softdrink…
me: is this for dine in or take out?
customer: dine in.
me: okay, i’ll repeat your order… —repeats order—
customer: yes.
me: ma’am, is this for dine in or take out?
——————————————————————–

situation 2:
{wala masyadong tao, i helped mai-mai (my co-counter) in assembling
her customer’s orders}
mai-mai: edcel, one box of 6, 4 hot and crispy chicken and 2 original recipe.
me: (after assembling the order and packing it, i gave it to the
customer) thank you sir!
customer: thank you! (gets the bag, and goes outside… then went back
to clarify) how many hot and crispy are there?
me: 5!

—————————————————————–

situation 3:
me: (after the transaction) thank you ma’am! come again!
customer: kumpleto na lahat?
me: yes ma’am!
customer: okay. goes to her seat and eats.
(after a few minutes)
customer: asan na ang fix-in(crispy fries) sa #4 ko? (and shows receipt)
me: ay sorry ma’am! hatid ko lang sa’yo! (and hurries to cook the
fries since naubusan na at hindi pa naka-drop)
—————————————————————-

situation 4:
me: sir your change is (looks at the receipt and gets change) 876 pesos.
customer: okay.
me: (gives change to the customer and recounting it at the same time).
500, 600, 700, 800, 70, 6.
customer: (looks at receipt) wrong change.
me: oh sorry, kulang ng 10 pesos…
customer: actually, sobra nang 10.

it’s one of ’em days….

ah yes, the downside of working, pag oras ng trabaho, trabaho.. πŸ™
lack of sleep leads to mistakes and accidents… so be careful next time..
i do wish to see more humor & humility in customer service.. πŸ™‚ as a
paying customer, mas nagiging tolerant ako pag ganon e. πŸ™‚

well, ganyan din ako. d ko pa memorize what rooms are single standard,
single deluxe, twin standard, twin deluxe, double standard, double
deluxe and premium. sometimes my co-workers get annoyed, but hey, dli
sila ka angal because i just look at them innocently and smile. NOT!
actually, wala silang sinasabi because anak ako ng owner. still, i get
frustrated sometimes. there are just days when the universe is against
you, you sense it when you walk out of your house and a whole big leaf
of a coconut tree [yes! a lukay with the leaves still attached] falls
on your head and your ride breaks down a kilometer from your school,
you dig into your pocket to call a friend to pick you up and lo! and
behold, you left your phone at home. yes, it actually happened to me,
and just when you think things could not get any worse, you arrive in
school and its your exam day, no permit, not enough cash. what do you
do? sit and eat at the canteen, some hot arrozcaldo to warm the
stomach. and surprisingly, it makes you day seem ok.
