I rarely ask for anything during Christmas except for travel gears as gifts. I’ve learned to live frugally so that I can spend more on airfare which allocates a bigger part of my budget when I travel. But there are times that I wish I had a device that would help make things more convenient for me when I go on a trip. Simple items that help make the whole adventure stress-free.
Fortunately, there are companies that develop innovative products that help every traveller. Here are some gift items you can buy for your friends who frequently travel.
GO Travel and Travelon products for the avid traveller
Boarding Pass and Passport Holder by Travelon
International trips are such a hassle with forms you need to fill out. Some of the papers you need to carry during your flights are Departure and Arrival cards, your passport, boarding passes, money for terminal fees, a pen, and even your hotel address information. This boarding pass and passport holder by Travelon lets you organize these items and you can simply hang it on your neck for easy access.
Also, newly issued passports and many driver licenses have Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) that transfers data using an electronic tag. Placing your passport here effectively blocks RFID readers which prevents unauthorized access to personal information.

Travelon Boarding Pass and Passport Holder
Dry Pod by GO Travel
There are moments when I wish I could safeguard my phone and money from water such as my recent trips while whitewater rafting in Cagayan de Oro or snorkelling in Tuble, Moalboal. I feel a bit wary leaving them anywhere while enjoying these water activities because these are, after all, valuable items.
This dry pod is a waterproof storage container lets you store your valuables and keep them from getting wet.

Dry Pod with my old school phone
Pocket Shaver by GO Travel
This one’s pretty nifty. A palm-sized, ultra slim battery powered shaver with a grippy rubber finish. It makes it easier for me to get rid of stubble especially when I travel during longer days. It’s powered by 2 AAA batteries and it doesn’t consume space so it’s very handy and useful. I know I’ll be able to use this as I start my long-term backpacking adventure next year.

This holiday season, you may want to give your traveller friends gifts that they can use for their trips. These items (and more) are available in The Travel Club stores and R.O.X. stores nationwide.

I love that dry pod. I needed something like that when I went whitewater rafting last time. I really wanted to bring along my camera, but I didn't want to get it wet which it would have. Something like that would have worked perfectly.
@Steve: dry pod's really nifty steve!
