boring

work

Air conditioner. Coffee. Monitor. Phone.
Is my life too dull?

postponed again

I’m not in the mood to think.

I was planning to go South so I can visit some relatives at my hometown and get some golf accessories. I carefully planned it all. I asked for an excuse from my boss so I could finish last Friday’s shift early. I work from 10pm to 7am on weekdays. I informed them that I’d be in the morning shift on Friday; meaning I’d complete two days worth of duty.

When I went home, I was told that we it had been postponed again because of lack of preparation with regard to the agenda of the travel. I was too pooped to think. At the back of my mind I needed to sleep, but I my stomach was asking for food. I wanted to go unload my dump but I was too tired to walk. I had a migraine but I’m staring at this 19″ LCD.

I’m just exhausted to feel anything already.

tired update

I just got home from work… again. I slept for about an hour, then helped doing some chores and now I can’t seem to sleep already. Blame it on too much energy stored in me. I know that when my next shift comes, I’ll be sleeping in one corner which in turn, will make me do my tasks late and eventually go home way beyond schedule. So as I’m waiting anxiously for those bags of sand to lull me to boredom and rest, I’m blogging and updating what needs to be updated. I’ve been updating regularly in this blog, and I never thought I could do so; at least on a regular basis. Now, I can just imagine how it would be like to tell my blog friends about the different updates that are going on that I also want to share.

Zookoda has its own way of being able to update people if there would be any new entries in your blog. It’s a cool way of marketing your blog online because it’s specifically designed for bloggers. So subscribers (if there are any) won’t have a hard time being notified if they want to know the latest happenings. The greatest thing about it is that it’s free.

In this day and age, everybody’s too connected that everything keeps on getting more and more innovative to suit the demands of the century. It’s definitely a crazy world we’re living in –> I’m playing Jamiroquai’s Virtual Insanity, so don’t mind me. Anyway, I hope I can get even just a nap.

tabuelan

I needed a break. I’ve been working like a horse, sacrificing 2 weekends of rest just to test myself where greed could get me to. Eventually, my body started to crave for some time off.

June 22-23, 2008 - I joined my former boss’ team building activity (joiner as usual) at Tabuelan. Despite the heavy rain and the strong winds caused by typhoon Frank, we still pushed through with the plan.

We spent around 2.5 hours for the travel time and when we arrived, the water wasn’t clear because again of the storm. I had to sleep in the middle of the day since I didn’t get enough because we went straight from duty. Spent the better part of the activity night swimming until 4 in the morning, skimboarding too; not to mention some tagay sessions from 1pm until 1am or so.

Overall, I still had fun despite the bad weather because of the company (toinks).

need some exercise

It’s been awhile since I last played badminton. I didn’t have enough sleep but I still kept my word to join some colleagues. After two hours worth of calorie-burning exhibitions, I was sweating like hell; but it felt good! I wanna buy a colored golf ball now. hehe.

Now, we’re going to go back this Thursday and it seems this is going to be a regular occurrence again. I needed the exercise anyway. I’ve been binging on food every two hours when I’m at work and I don’t even stand as much. That’s why I make it a point that I stroll around the production floor every now and then which other people mistake as me slacking off. It’s all about perception anyway. What they can’t see is the pressure I’m getting just to reach my quota, but I like to keep the image that way.

Going back, walking around the floor isn’t enough, but now that we’re going to play on a regular basis makes me have something to look forward to. I’ll be applying for a membership at a gym near our office come payday to test myself as well how far my body can resist exercise.

newborn

I’m so tired right now, with all the things going on. I’m doing my evaluations while preparing for my trip going South which means I have to go double-shift so I can have a favorable amount of time in order to get my things ready and pack them up. I’m still stuck in my chair, I haven’t been able to move much and I’m trapped until I can finish six more audits.  This is what I’ve felt for the time being but it’s a good thing that out of the blue, when I checked my messages, I received a mail from aunt who, after all this time, finally has a baby of her own! I’m very glad and happy that a new cousin is just around. I can visit her sometime next week which is what I’m also looking forward to.

Speaking of my aunt’s newborn, I plan to join her in getting a baby pushchair, baby pram or just a stroller in order to lessen the burden of buying stuff for her child. I mean, we were once taken care of by my aunt so it’s a bit time for us to show some respect or courtesy and repay her back.

just got back from the beach

The weather the other day was terrible. Cebu experienced strong winds because of typhoon Frank (or typhoon Feng-shen). Last Friday was the last day (or night) of my shift. The following morning, I had a scheduled outing with some former workmates and we were apprehensive to go because of the bad weather. But it’s a good thing that despite everything, even if the sun had no signs of showing up on Saturday, we pushed through.

Now I’m back from Tabuelan, I’m too tired to even update. I’m heading off to sleep just to restore some energy.

feeling technical

I don’t know what happened. When our computer had the “NTLDR is missing” error, I suddenly rebooted our computer with the OS disk. Without proper technical background on how to install an Operating System no matter how simple it may be, I went ahead and worked on it; which in turn, deleted all those precious files that consumed the 60Gig partition. We felt so dumb, not backing up in advance. We just resolved to trying to start over.

Until this evening, my brother tried searching for the files, and voila! Amidst the rain and the uneasiness, our mp3s, picture files and other significant programs were restored! And like any technically challenged computer user (who only knows callaway golf balls), I don’t know why it’s still there when supposedly we have reformatted the hard drive already. Nevertheless, we didn’t bother questioning the higher gods as to how this has happened. We’re just thankful that we still got them. Now we better start backing up.

to get a notebook

If ever I can get a laptop of my own, I’m going to get a Linksys router so I can just divide the connection at home, that’s about the only brand name I know. But I have to save up for it as it’s very important that I’m able to get my return of investment out of it. I’m still glad that we have this desktop but nothing can beat the mobility of a notebook.

nbi clearance

Photobucket

I went home from work around 8am so I could run some errands since most of the stores I’ll be dropping by will be open by then. I dropped some dirty clothes at the laundry shop, went to the bank to pay the monthly charges for the camera that I bought and processed the renewal for my NBI clearance so I can apply for a passport already; like some used golf balls.

Photobucket
Boy was the line effin’ long. I went to the third floor of Robinsons around 10:00am and I lined up until 11:30am just so I could get my picture taken and have my NBI clearance changed to “Travel Abroad”. I really hate applying for government documents. It’s a good thing I had some music in my phone to keep me sane in the long wait. I’m happy as well that after the endless wait, I didn’t have any problem with my name; some people were actually told to get their nbi atthe main office cause apparently, their names have a record that needs to be verified and settled. To think that they already line up for a while. I paid 115 bucks for the paper, and I’m just a few steps closer to finishing some requirements so I can go to an agency to apply for a passport.

eyes at work

My eyes are failing me already. What with facing the monitor all day and all night, they’re bound to end up weary in some way or another. But I’m not yet blind though, hehe. I just don’t want to stress them so much especially with the glare from the screen. I’m thinking about getting some eyeglasses so I can at least have something to protect my sight. I just hope it won’t be that expensive to get one.

all work

I’m having too much stress right now, with the workload I’m already handling. The good thing is that I won’t have to do any evaluations for the next 3 days as I’ll be having our training for a new Line of Business. It’ll save me a few day’s rest from too much typing, at least this time, I get to talk.

I’m going out this weekend because the previous ones were all just too busy cause I’ve been working on my supposed days off just so I could test myself on what extent am I willing to render overtime to see if I’m looking at golfballs. That’s why now I’m paying the consequences of not having enough rest.
